Incyte Welcomes Suky Upadhyay as EVP, CFO

Upadhyay will lead Incyte’s global finance organization responsible for strategic financial planning and certain other tasks.

Incyte is appointing Suketu (Suky) Upadhyay as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective May 4, 2026.

EVP and CFO Positions Not Unfamiliar

Upadhyay has most recently filled the same two positions with Zimmer Biomet, which manufactures orthopedic solutions.

Incyte’s portfolio of first-in-class and next-generation medicines encompasses hematology, oncology, and inflammation and autoimmunity.

Similarly, Upadhyay’s impending leadership of Incyte’s global finance organization charges him with responsibility for numerous areas. Among them:

  • strategic financial planning
  • capital allocation
  • investor relations
  • finance, planning, and accounting
  • global sourcing
  • environmental, social, and governance
  • information technology and facilities.

Incyte CEO Discusses Impact

“Suky will oversee all aspects of our finance function,” said Incyte CEO Bill Meury. “He will guide our capital allocation approach and apply effective financial stewardship in support of value creation for our shareholders. He is known and respected for his detail‑oriented approach, objective decision‑making, and disciplined investment mindset. Suky will contribute both strategically and operationally as a core member of Incyte’s Executive Leadership Team.”

“I’m honored to join Incyte at a pivotal time in its evolution,” Upadhyay said. “Incyte has a robust and differentiated pipeline, strong growth prospects, and a clear focus on long‑term value creation. I look forward to working with the Executive Team to support execution of the strategic plan.”

In this way, Upadhyay said he anticipated helping position Incyte for its next phase of growth.

More Background and Experience

In addition to roles already mentioned, Upadhyay has been Senior Vice President of Global Financial Operations at Bristol Myers Squibb. He was also EVP and CFO at Endo International. At Becton Dickinson, he served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer.

Earlier in Upadhyay’s career, he had global finance and business development positions at AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson.
